HVO100
HVO100 is Q8Truck’s premium renewable diesel, made entirely from renewable raw materials. It helps international transport companies reduce emissions, meet European environmental standards and operate sustainably without compromising performance.
HVO100: reliable performance with lower emissions
HVO100 offers a practical route to decarbonisation for heavy vehicles. It works in existing diesel engines with no technical modifications, helping fleets cut CO₂ by up to 90 percent, reduce particulate matter by around 30 percent and lower nitrogen oxides (NOx) by about 9 percent compared to conventional diesel.
More information:
What is HVO100?
HVO100 stands for Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil, with “100” indicating it is 100 percent pure renewable diesel. It is produced through hydrotreating, which converts renewable raw materials such as vegetable oils or animal fats into a high-quality diesel alternative.
How does HVO100 work?
HVO100 is stored and used like conventional diesel. During operation it is injected into the combustion chamber, where it mixes with compressed air and ignites under high pressure to generate power. Because the fuel is renewable rather than fossil-based, fleets can lower emissions while maintaining performance.
Benefits of using HVO100
HVO100 helps fleets reduce their carbon footprint and comply with strict European emissions regulations without investing in new vehicles. Compared to conventional diesel it can cut CO₂ emissions by up to 90 percent, reduce particulate matter by around 30 percent and lower NOx by about 9 percent, while still delivering dependable engine performance.
