More information:
What is AdBlue?
AdBlue is a liquid solution made primarily of urea and demineralised water. It is used in diesel engines equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems to reduce harmful nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions released into the atmosphere.
How does AdBlue work?
AdBlue is stored in a separate tank, usually next to the diesel tank. During operation, a small amount is injected into the exhaust system, where it reacts with NOx emissions and converts them into harmless nitrogen and water vapour.
Benefits of using AdBlue
Using AdBlue helps your fleet comply with strict European emission regulations while significantly reducing harmful NOx emissions and lowering your environmental impact. It also supports more sustainable operations and contributes to cleaner air quality. In addition, many truck systems monitor AdBlue levels and alert drivers when refills are needed, ensuring uninterrupted journeys and peace of mind.
Our network
Q8Truck operates 800+ sites offering AdBlue across Europe, and our network continues to grow to support international transport companies wherever they operate.
